    Dear CICG Subcontractor,

CICG are continuing to liaise with authorities and industry bodies to clarify the impact of the latest announcements in relation to Stage 4 restrictions on our projects. At this stage the advise is that no additional restrictions apply and works are to continue with the safety measures that are in place. We will also be implementing mandatory temperature testing as a condition of entry to site.

We will continue to ensure the safety of all personnel is maintained and provide updates immediately should there be any changes.

If you have any questions or concerns on this matter please contact Nic Morris or Myself.

  • 22nd July 2020, COVID-19 Update

    Dear CICG Subcontractor,

Further to the previous advice issued regarding the requirement for face masks we have reviewed the issue of wearing masks and safety glasses together causing fogging of glasses. Given the difficulty in wearing both items at once a temporary change to the requirement for wearing of safety glasses at all times on site will be put in place.
Safety Glasses must be carried at all times by all personnel on site and worn by any personnel undertaking tasks that pose risks of eye injury (eg. cutting, grinding, drilling etc.). When safety glasses are being worn for a specific task masks can be removed while that task is being undertaken.
If personal distancing cannot be maintained or masks are required for other reasons (dust etc.) then alternative suitable masks and eye protection must be worn. (eg. Face shields)

This change has been made to assist all personnel maintain compliance with the authority requirements. It is not an excuse to not have a mask on or wear safety glasses when required and anyone failing to strictly comply will be removed from site.

Please ensure all personnel are made aware of these updated requirements.

    Regards
